Introduction:
We are one of the leading manufactureres of Indole -3-carbinol (I3C) and is produced by the breakdown of the glucosinolate glucobrassicin, which can be found at relatively high levels in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, Cabbage, collard greens and kale. I3C is a member of the glucosinolates family. This group of compounds contains other indoles and also isothiocyanates, such as sulphoraphane. These are known antioxidants and natural detoxifying enzymes. Sulphoraphanes have also been shown to have strong anti-cancer properties.
